Memory for Pennies

How good is your memory? Which penny is correct?

Pennies are items that we see every day, yet you probably had some difficulty in selecting the correct one. Did you need to check a real penny to be sure? Nickerson and Adams (1979) conducted an experiment and concluded that most people are not able to pick the correct penny from this drawing (Weiten 1995).

I would’ve also had to look at a penny. And I would’ve if there were a place to record an answer.

This would have been hard but I have been looking at coins closely since I was a kid. I collect all kinds of coins.
